Our final visit this year will be a relaxing break in Brittany with the Panama Jazz Band. We’ll be staying at Concarneau on the southern coast where we have made many happy visits in the past. You don’t have to be a jazz fan to appreciate this trip but if you like to end your day on a high note then you’ll enjoy entertainment by the Panama Jazz Band. Leisurely excursions will show you part of this pleasant Province. A warm welcome is guaranteed!

October 25^th  – Leave Plymouth on the overnight sailing to Roscoff. Cabin provided.

October 26^th  – Arrive in France at 0800 then drive to Morlaix to stretch legs and take refreshment. Continue over the Monts d’Arrées to Concarneau and park at port. Sightseeing until early afternoon then resume short drive to Hotel de l’Océan for three night stay. Welcome drink on arrival. Dinner at 1930 and then the Band plays in bar until late.

October 27^th – Later this morning we’ll make a leisurely drive southwards to Pont Aven, village of artists made famous by Gaugin. Early in the afternoon we return to Concarneau for more sightseeing . Dinner and entertainment as before.

October 28^th – This morning we drive to Quimper where it is the mid-weekly market day. Enjoy the atmosphere of a typical French scene! We leave Quimper and drive to the outskirts where we visit the Hypermarket.  After  essential shopping we drive to the seaside resort of Bénodet. Finally we return to the hotel for dinner, entertainment and overnight.

October 29^th – We leave the hotel and travel back to the coast. Our en route stop will be at the pleasant village of Huelgoat. Time for a stroll and refreshment. We continue to Roscoff where we catch the afternoon ferry to England. This reaches Plymouth at 2030 and the coach then returns to the original meaning a late arrival in Bristol/Bath but unavoidable due to the ferry schedule.

The cost includes: travel by executive coach throughout; ferry crossing with cabin; three nights dinner bed and breakfast at the 3* Hotel de l’Océan on Forest Bay in Concarneau. The beach is just 20m from its front door ; all excursions as detailed, welcome drink on arrival. The hotel has a heated garden pool; jacuzzi and fitness room.
